I believe your birth should be a positive and empowering experience. It is my goal that you feel confident, capable and supported as you give birth to your baby.

Working with a doula has many benefits. A doula:
>Helps you develop skills and confidence for birth
>Coaches and encourages you throughout your labor and the birth of your child
>Supports your birth partner to participate at their comfort level
>Doulas can help shorten your labor and help you have fewer complications
>Reduces the risk of your birth escalating to caesarean birth
>Increases success rates with breastfeeding
>Reduces the risks of post partum depression
What People Are Saying About Suzzie, The Seattle Doula

I loved Suzzie from the moment we started talking. We used her as our doula for the birth of our second child. I genuinely cannot recommend her enough! She is calm and has an amazing energy that can be felt throughout the whole room. She is a huge reason I was able to have the birth I wanted.
-Nikki, Second Time Mom

Suzzie was a calming, kind and confident presence. We had such a positive birth experience and could not have done it without her.
-Nancy, First Time Mom
If you're on the fence about whether to hire a doula or not, I highly recommend it. And I would 100% recommend Suzzie to any of my friends, family or strangers. I'm so thankful she came into my life at just the right time. I just wish I hired her sooner.

Chickadee Package - $3700
(Vaginal Birth Support)
Craving peace of mind as you prepare to welcome your baby? This package offers full, compassionate support every step of the way—from preparation, through birth and those first weeks home. It’s ideal for moms who want to feel informed, empowered, and cared for.
When we work together with the Chickadee package, it looks like this:
>Meet and Greet to talk about your birth preferences and support needs
>One on boarding coffee date where we sit down and dive into what YOU as an individual need for your birth - this gives us time to build a deep relationship where we advice can begin to be tailored more directly to your values
>One in home prenatal to discuss your birth plans, practice labor coping skills and work through any new fears
>In person support through early labor, active labor, birth, and the first 1-2 hours postpartum
>Initial breastfeeding support
>24 hours of postpartum care as you return to your home. In most cases this is 6 postpartum visits
>Ongoing baby feeding and sleep support
>Smartphone photography
When we work together in this package, you can say you have done EVERYTHING to make your birth the beautiful beginning you want.
Hatchling Package - $3700
(Surgical Birth Support)
Are you nervous about surgery, recovery and the process of giving birth via cesarean section? If so, this is the package for you. Not only will you have full support when it comes to your birth, but you will have complete support in your recovery as well. This package is most popular for moms that want comprehensive support through their surgical birth and recovery.
When we work together with the Hatchling package, we do all of the same prep we would for a vaginal birth, but instead tailored to a c-section. Meaning, you learn the skills to cope with choices, have support exploring the choices that can affect your outcomes and recovery, have support through surgery and then ongoing support through your postpartum as well.
>Because a c-section is typically a much shorter process than a vaginal delivery, the biggest difference in these packages comes down to postpartum care, of which, we get to do more of together. This package comes with 40 hours of postpartum care.
What if you are planning a vaginal birth but end up choosing the a surgical birth instead? No worries, your Chickadee package will automatically be switched over to a Hatchling package when you make that choice.

Frequently Asked Questions
WHAT IS WRAP AROUND CARE?
Having wrap-around care from a doula can make a profound difference in the birth experience. A doula offers continuous emotional, physical, and informational support throughout the entire journey — from preparing your birth plan and helping you feel confident in your choices, to being by your side during labor, and providing care and guidance afterward. This continuity of support helps reduce fear and stress, encourages a sense of safety and empowerment, and allows you to focus fully on your birthing experience and recovery. Many families find that having a trusted, consistent presence who understands their wishes leads to more positive birth outcomes, smoother transitions into parenthood, and a deeper sense of being cared for and heard.
WHEN DO YOU START WORKING WITH CLIENTS?
I recommend booking between 12–14 weeks to secure your spot, though I can sometimes accommodate last-minute requests when possible. I typically begin working with clients around 20 weeks of pregnancy, which is when we schedule your first prenatal visit. Starting at this point allows plenty of time for education, preparation, and thoughtful planning as your birth approaches. Your second prenatal visit usually happens by 34 weeks, giving us time to refine your birth preferences and make sure you feel fully supported and ready.
DO YOU WORK WITH CARROT, MAVEN, APPLE CARE OR OTHER REIMBURSEMENT PROGRAMS?
I do work with employee reimbursement programs. I suggest checking your fertlity benefits as many people in our area do have some coverage to cover some or all of their doula expenses. Up to this point, I have had 100% success rate in my clients having these programs receiving reimbursement. However, I do not work with insurance like Tricare or Apple Care at this time.
WHAT DO POSTPARTUM VISITS LOOK LIKE?
Postpartum care changes as needs of both the mother and baby evolve. At the beginning, a normal shift typically involves feeding support, answering questions about sleep and routines, and helping a mom process the experience she has gone through in birth. Typically, early on a mother and father are both tired and will use the time while I am there to sleep, run errands or have a moment of self care. As a postpartum doula I also often prep a meal or two, do light house work, wash bottles and put away baby clothing etc. Consider a postpartum doula a knowledgeable second set of hands that can get things done while also providing excellent care to your little one.
