About this episode
I’m honored to sit down again with Paulette Kamenecka on What You Didn’t Expect in Fertility, Pregnancy & Birth: Real Stories & Expert Insights to complete my birth story. Picking up where Part I left off—after hours of contracting ended in a stalled labor and emergency C-section—I share how I used intensive birth education, deliberately confronted my anxieties, and set realistic expectations to reclaim agency over my second birth. We explore the exact strategies I implemented between pregnancies to prepare my mind and body, and how those tools helped me navigate the isolation of being alone in the recovery room, cut off from my husband and newborn.
